Marble Nails

I recently started to follow Karla Powell on twitter and instagram, she posts such brilliant make-up and nail effects. The other day I noticed Karla had posted a marble effect look and I instantly thought I'm going to give that a go. So I started to youtube other marble effects and kind of adapted mine in my own way. Last night I gave it ago and for saying it was my first time I think I was pretty good (not to be big headed). The thing with this marble effect nail varnish it is very time consuming so if you have a night alone or nothing to do its the perfect time to give it a go, I think in the end it took me around two hours start to finish. I was originally was going to do a step by step tutorial but I shall link the video instead as it may be easier to follow if you want to give this a go. The colours I used were from the Maybelline forever strong collection; Bubblegum, Flamingo Pink, Couture Orange and deep red. These worked really well together and gives a really lovely summery look, I'm so excited to experiment further using different patterns and colours.

Have you ever given this a go or thinking of giving it a go? I would love to see your results.

A Beautiful Day At The Zoo

So yesterday myself ,Charlotte,my children Luca and Leora all went for the day out too the zoo. After picking up Charlotte, not knowing how to use the sat nav and also stalling the car on the busy road, we were on our way. The journey was rather amusing with Luca banging his head against the car seat (dancing) and Leora just having a good old jig. Arriving at twycross I came across another obstacle, the pram. It actually felt forever to put the thing up It just wasn't happening then with a magic touch of something it was up hooray! The weather at first looked a little miserable but warm and then the sun came out and gave us a beautiful day. At times the kids got a little out of hand and crazy but they're kids and they were having a blast. Twycross have made a new area for kids where there is a train a few rides and a little farm with donkey's, rabbits etc. Seeing as luca is mad on trains at the minute we couldn't not take him on the train, both Luca and Leora loved that. Here are a few photos of our trip to the zoo.

Well it definitely has too be my phone, I cant live without it. If there is a time I forget it I have to go back without a doubt, I'm pretty obsessed.

To be honest I think I'm both, you cant beat a good heel on a night out and a worn in comfy trainer for the morning after.

My favourite colour has to be lilac its so pretty, I'm actually planning to decorate my bedroom that colour, well at some point I will be planning on it.

I'm not such a juice drinker, I'm naughty and prefer fizzy drinks. I do enjoy orange juice, you cant beat it on a nice warm day or fresh orange and lemonade, its so good.

Yes, One day I would like nothing more then to marry my boyfriend. I love him very much but there's a long way to go yet.

It was Saturday night, I cried the night before and Saturday was the aftermath tired, nothing was going right and fall outs. Thankfully everything is back to normal now :)

Do you life swimming?
Well I don't really dislike it. I preferred swimming when I was young and go with my friends but now it's a bit boring but the kids are starting to go which I really enjoy, so really a bit of mixed opinion about swimming.

Life and Music part 2

Well it was the year 2004 which would have made me 14-15, school boy crush's were in full swing for me and a couple of friends, chick flick obsessed and thinking were just out right cool. Music I listened to then was all about boy bands and pretty girls. These are the top five I would class as my favourite for 2004.

Nsync - Bye Bye Bye
Stacie Orrico - Stuck
Busted - Thunderbirds are go
Mandy Moore - Only Hope (A Walk To Remember)
The Killers - Mr Brightside

I can remember going to see busted at Nottingham's Christmas lights switch on. Myself and my friends were very big busted fans and I can actually remember shouting asking Matt Willis to marry me. Darius was also there but he just wasn't as good. I cant really remember how Stacie Orrico was introduced to me but she is amazing. I could rabbit on for ages on how many songs I loved back then, ah the joys of being a school girl.

If you would like to relive a little of 2004 the videos are below, so sit back, relax and let the old times rock! :)

Dream Wedding.

Its been pretty busy day today. My sister will be getting married may next year so that means one thing and one thing only. Dress shopping, We have been searching for a few months now and were gradually getting to "the one". I reckon my sister has tried on every dress going, well it feels that way from fabrics such as chiffon, Organza, Crepe, lace. Silhouettes of Fish tail, A-Line, Ballgown, from Basque to empire. The thing with my sister is she's 5'11 and slim so when she puts any dress on it automatically looks stunning.

A Little like this
Now the search is in full swing we have narrowed the right dress style for her is a strapless sweetheart neckline with ruched tulle fabric, bodice down to her hips and a ballgown skirt, quite plain too with just a little detail. Dresses with too much detail just looks horrific on her, yet on someone it would look completely stunning, (each to there own I guess.)  I cant actually believe it's just over a year now, it's all very exciting and obviously I'm one of three bridesmaids one flower girl and two page boys, pretty big bridal party really. As much as I'm looking forward to the wedding and being a part of it I just cant wait too see my son and daughter in their little outfits and when I say little I mean little their over two years old now and wearing one to one and a half year old clothing.

Dream Dress
I've always had an image of my dream wedding dress, as I'm sure most of you have. After all the dress ideas the bride to be to be has had in mind its something completely different to what she thought. I think when ever my time comes to start finding "the one" I'm going to go in with an open mind.

What your dream dress be like?

Too Faced Matte Eye Review

The other day I dragged my lovely boyfriend shopping with me. While we were in boots I came across Too Faced Matte Eye palette, I've been searching for some really nice matte eye shadow but I've either not found any or its way too expensive. This is £26.00 and comes with nine different matte colours.

It comes in this cute little box, and inside is a flip palette with the same design. also in the box was a little test sachet of Too Faced shadow insurance lemon drop, which is £16.50 from boots, so I'm loving this shadow already. I used the Day and Fashion also tried a little of the Shadow insurance set to play with and I'm really pleased with it, It goes on and blends like a dream. After about ten minutes i noticed a little slot at the side and realised there were three tutorial cards, which is brilliant if you feel your not confident with blending etc.
Overall I would highly recommend this product and its brilliant value for moeny with what you get. My sister will be getting married May next year and this palette is defiantly what i will be wearing.

Below there are two of looks from the palette, i do apologise as I kind of rushed the look so it isn't too great. I just wanted to show you how it turned out.

So this is the Fashion look and the
colours were
Fresh linen , Vintage Violet and
Midnight, I also tried using
the primer on this look.
This is the Day look and the colours were
Tufted Suede, Chinchilla and
Coffee Bean and this is without primer.

.

Have you tried or purchased this Matte Eye palette or any others that are worth having a look at?

This is my first product review your thoughts on how it is or how i could improve would be greatly appreciated.

Bye Bye Weekend

Burger king mm mm
So the weekend is pretty much over again. Weekends are going way too fast, it's such a horrible feeling. This weekend for me has been pretty chilled out. On Saturday Me, Mum and the kids had a Burger King; what a way to start the weekend, I also bought a new door mat from next, it may be just a doormat but its a very beautiful doormat. Then me and the boyfriend went to see safe house, I highly recommend it, if you're the kind of person who likes fights, guns and double crossing, and obviously to see Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds at they're best.

Kids causing mischief
Today has been a miserable day due to the weather, where has the sun gone? So I just chilled at the mother's watching the kids cause mischief and running wild as two year olds do. There was a lot of tea/coffee and cake involved and we enjoyed every delicious bite of it. So all in all it's been a pretty relaxing, I wonder what this week will bring.

What things have you been up to this weekend, whatever it was I hope it was a good one :)

The Journey: Chapter one.

both of them in the early scan
I would like to take you on a little journey of Luca and Leora, through the joys, excitement and trauma.
It may take a little while to complete my journey but every letter is worth it, so let me begin.

It was the summer of 2009, I was doing really well in my job I had finished and qualified as a beautician. Me and the children's father had just returned from our holiday and I wasn't feeling too well and I missed a period. At the time I didnt really think anything of it but after a couple of days I started to feel different in myself, its hard to explain but I just felt pregnant, so I decided to take it upon myself and do a test. When it appeared positive I denied it and said the test was broken, over and over. After locking myself in the bathroom crying for over an hour I told the father, he didnt really give me the reaction I was hoping for. A couple of days later my mum drilled it out of me on the phone as I couldnt bare to tell her, all I kept thinking was there all going to be ashamed and that I'm too young etc etc, but instead they were very supportive towards it all and after alot of "family meetings" we came to the conclusion that we can do this and we can do it well, so everything was going well we had our docotrs appointments and booked in for our first scan.

Leora at 12 weeks
While myself and the father were looking after our local pub, also our workplace, I started too feel something wasn't right. My stomach was turning and felt like I was being stabbed from the inside out. When I went downstairs to tell him I rang my mum and she took me straight to hospital. When we got there the nurses were amazing everything was done quickly not much waiting around. After many tests and fingers and the relief that I hadn't lost my baby they organised an internal scan for me and informed me i was seven weeks, at this point mum had to leave which was the last thing I wanted. It was all very scary and strange and I just wanted my mum there with me.

Mum came to the hospital first thing in the morning and we just waited for the scan. We were both scared, nervous and excited, as we sat in silence the nurse called us in, we smiled at each other and we entered the room. As she started the scan she looked very puzzled and out of the blue she turned to us and said "oh there's two in there" and turned the monitor to face us, we both just looked at each other and we burst out laughing with genuine tears of laughter. To this day I don't really know why reacted like that but we did. After the scan was over and we were back in your room the first thing we obviously did was spread the news and no one believed us every ones words were stop joking, your lying, and haha yeah really funny tell me the truth.
Luca at 12 weeks

So after a month or so and everything was going well I had no morning sickness and no cravings really so it was fairly good in that respect. We went to our first scan through a consultant the problems started to occur, they first said leora (twin 2) in their eyes was just going to be a small baby, but over a period of time it got worse they began to say she would have down syndrome or she would suffer from disappearing twin syndrome which when I went to the next scan she may just not be there. The next scan came and we all had to prepare ourselves for the instance she wasn't there, thankfully she was the relief was just overwhelming.

The problems with leora just kept coming and as a 20 year old I wasn't coping the nurses just came back saying she would have dwarfism or any chromosome disorder, we were faced with a massive decision weather to carry on with Leora's life as they were adamant there was something wrong we all will never forget one scan we went too mum my sister came with us both as they were worried about the children and mum and my sister waited in a room while me and their father were being spoken too, when we both went in we sat down and my loving sister turned to us and said "so is she a mong then?".
My bump at 21 weeks.

It was now winter and everyone was getting ready for Christmas. We had a scan as regular and after we sat and we waited, our consultant came through to speak to us as normal and she explained leora (twin 2) had stopped growing and there very concerned so she informed us that I would be getting induced. That information didn't register straight away. Five minutes later I burst out crying and just said "what" the tears just kept falling I didn't know what to expect really.

The induction came I arrived at the hospital at 4:00pm on Monday the 14th December.
me on the day of going to hospital.
There was so much sitting and waiting around when we got there, I think it must have been around midnight when they broke my waters and still a lot of waiting and sitting. We heard on the radio they were giving shout out so we thought hey lets see if our's get done and it did which personally I thought was pretty cool. Don't worry I wont gross you out with all the gory details but at 3:55pm Luca John Farabella was born weighing 5lb 9oz and only eleven minutes after Leora May Farabella was born weighing 3lb 1oz.
There was a couple of problems Leora was born in her sack and to which I have heard if children are born in the sack they are physic so we shall see, it also took them a couple of minutes to bring her around as she wasn't breathing but thankfully it worked and she was rushed into nicu (neonatal intensive care unit).
Even though me and their dad are no longer together Luca and Leora are the best thing that has come into my life and the journey continues...

The best time of the day

This by far this the best time of the day, you are either home from work with a nice glass of wine, getting ready to go out with friends you maybe going on a date, etc etc. For me this is the best time of the days as I can kick back and relax after a hard day looking after my kids, the peaceful sound of no screaming and fighting is bliss the best part of the night is doing nothing its just like heaven.

Being free to watch what I want when I want.

That first sip of a good coffee, with nothing but the sound of  your own breath.

To be able to eat a meal with no eyes starring at you
or trying to steal a mouthful.

I also love this time of day as it gives me time to catch up on housework, have a bath, wash my hair or just sit and do nothing and enjoy the peace and quiet.

What would you say the best time of the day for you is? and why?
